The Greater Fort Wayne Chamber of Commerce and IPFW Alumni Center present Meet Me @ 5 this Thursday, April 19th at the Alumni Center from 5-7 pm! 

According to a recent survey by the Department of Labor, networking accounts for at least 69 percent of all hires each year, and is the BEST way to find a job or an internship. That’s why YLNI strives to provide you with opportunities to network. We know the connections made will develop into valuable relationships including friendships and professional prospects.

So come and enjoy an evening of networking, hors d’oeuvres (provided by IPFW Hospitality and Management students), a cash bar and desserts by Vanilla Bean chefs (an IPFW alumni owned business recently on the Food Network’s CupCake Wars).

Admission is $5 for members and $10 for non-chamber members.

The Chamber, Regional Chamber, and the Northeast Indiana Chamber Coalition have extended an invitation to YLNI dues-paying members to attend Northeast Indiana Day at the Statehouse. Enjoy a round-trip bus ride to our State Capital to see Northeast Indiana State Legislators in action on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. 

The day will include an opportunity to meet with Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman, Attorney General Greg Zoeller, State Auditor Tim Berry, Speaker Brian Bosma, and Senate Pro Tempore David Long, and will feature informative panel discussions on issues affecting Northeast Indiana. Attendees will also have lunch with the Northeast Indiana legislative delegation and hear updates on pressing legislative issues. Learn more about Right to Work legislation, Transportation and Infrastructure, Revitalizing Downtowns and Business Districts, and other issues affecting your business. 

Cost for the trip is $50 and includes bus transportation, all programming and materials, and lunch at the Hilton in downtown Indianapolis. The trip is open to members of any Northeast Indiana Chamber of Commerce. The bus will leave the Regional Chamber office, 6714 Pointe Inverness Way, Fort Wayne, IN 46804, promptly at 7:45 am on February 21.  We anticipate returning to Fort Wayne at approximately 6:00 pm.
